FAQ
Can I download Facebook Live videos?
Yes, but only after the broadcast has ended and the video is published on the page. You cannot download a stream while it is currently live.
Why is my Facebook link not working?
Check if the video is public. Links from private posts, restricted groups, or deleted content won't load. Also make sure you're copying the full link — not from a notification or shared message.
Can I download videos from private groups?
No. Private and closed group content requires authentication that this tool doesn't support. Only publicly accessible videos work.
How do I download a video from the Facebook app?
Tap the Share button below the video in the Facebook app, select 'Copy Link', then paste it into the downloader field in your browser.
Why is the video quality low?
Facebook compresses all uploaded videos. The quality options you see here match what Facebook makes available — we don't re-compress or modify the file. If only SD shows up, the original was uploaded at low resolution.
Can I download Facebook Reels?
Yes, as long as the Reel is public. Paste the Reel link and download it the same way as a regular video.
Do I need to log in to Facebook?
No. SnapVid doesn't ask for your Facebook credentials. You only need the video link.
