What You Can Download from Instagram

FAQ

How do I save Instagram Reels directly to my Camera Roll?

On iPhone, Safari saves downloads to the Files app by default. To move it, open the downloaded Reel in Safari, tap the Share icon, and select 'Save Video' to push it to your Photos/Camera Roll.

Why is my Instagram link not working?

Check if the post is still live and the account is public. Links from private, deleted, or restricted posts won't load.

Can I download from a private account?

Not with this tool. For private accounts you follow, use our Private Instagram Downloader.

Can I download an Instagram Story with its music?

Yes. As long as the Story is public and still live, the downloaded video will include the original music track or audio.

Why is the video quality lower than expected?

Instagram compresses uploads on their end. The file you get matches what Instagram serves — we don't re-compress or modify it. If the source was uploaded in low quality, the download will be too.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your browser. No app, no extension.

Why does the download fail sometimes?

Usually a temporary issue — the link may be broken, the post was removed, or Instagram is rate-limiting requests. Try again in a few seconds.
